LOOKING FOR A COSMETIC WITH ORGANIC CERTIFICATION? Here's what you absolutely need to know!

For a long time there has been much talk about organic products and natural cosmetics, but not everyone is aware of what really is behind the certainty of products certified as organic.

In order to be defined as organic, the cosmetic products must be approved by a controlled body that certifies the quality with a special logo to be affixed on the packaging; They must comply with the list of ingredients allowed and the processing methods, as well as the limits of the minimum content of natural substances and the maximum content of similar natural substances. Each type of product follows a different criteria (for instance those applicable to a shower gel are different from those applicable to a cream) because of their different functional use.

They must contain a higher minimum percentage of natural unprocessed ingredients, of which 95% has to be organic.
Given the restrictiveness of the latter certification, it can be obtained only by some types of cosmetics.

Why is the organic certification for cosmetics NATRUE the safes?

The disciplinary ‘Natrue’ also pays great attention to the packaging of the cosmetic product: you have to minimize the environmental impact of packaging, by reducing as much as possible the amount of material used, while preferring to use recyclable packaging.

The rigorous certification standards described before are consistent with the definition ORGANIC COSMETIC and can be summarized as follows:

-
The product should be formulated with Natural raw materials and of Natural Origin.

- 95% of the raw materials must be certified Natural Organic

- The use of raw non Organic materials is not allowed if a similar certified version already exists on the market.

- The use of GMOs (Genetically Modified Organisms) is not allowed.

- The perfume used has to be 100% natural

Finally, great attention is given to all the aspects of production, including controls of production lines and work environments.
